Duties


The duties for a registered nurse in an elderly care facility vary by the facility. Duties might include basic assistance such as helping patients bathe, dress themselves, get up and down, walk, and use wheelchairs or walkers. RNs also monitor patients’ conditions and assess their vital signs, noting any physical or mental decline and reporting back to the doctor. In addition, they administer medications and other treatments and help patients manage common age-related conditions such as incontinence, sleep disturbances or loss of mobility.

POST- STROKE RECOVERY CARE & DIABETIC CARE

PHYSIOTHERAPY: HOME REHABILITATION

Physiotherapy is an essential element of patient care. Therapeutic exercise and functional training are the cornerstones of physiotherapist treatment.

We in the Miracle Home Healthcare can provide you with a physiotherapy session in your home which is the most convenient for any individual who is recovering from their illnesses.

  • Help patients to maintain and restore flexibility, strength, and increase range of motion.
  • Help patients to improve by giving home exercise programme.
  • Consult and collaborate with consulting physicians and other medical professionals in providing physiotherapy treatments.
  • Maintain and update patient records and documents.

 

ELDERLY CARE SPECIALLY WITH ALZHEIMER’S &DEMENTIA

  • Establish an effective communication system with the patient and his family to help them adjust to the patient's altered cognitive abilities.
  • Provide emotional support to the patient and his family.
  • Administer ordered medications and note their effects.
  • Protect the patient from injury by providing a safe, structured environment.
  • Provide enough rest and sleep.
  • Encourage the patient to exercise as ordered to help maintain mobility.
  • Encourage patient independence and allow ample time for him to perform tasks.
  • Encourage sufficient fluid intake and adequate nutrition.
  • Maintain the proper personal hygiene of the patient
  • Frequently check the patient's vital signs.
  • Monitor the patient's fluid and food intake to detect imbalances.
  • Inspect the patient's skin for evidence of trauma, such as bruises or skin breakdown.
  • Encourage the family to allow the patient as much independence as possible while ensuring safety to the patient and others.

PALLIATIVE CARE FOR PATIENT WITH CANCER

  • Providing and advocating for safe, compassionate, competent, ethical and evidence-informed palliative and end-of-life care.
  • Giving or administering medication as per prescribes by the Doctors
  • Providing crisis intervention;
  • Assisting and Accompany Client to their checkups and Chemotherapy Session
  • Maintaining Proper Hygiene and Grooming of the Client
  • Educating the Patient's Family About the Disease
  • Assisting Patient to their Activity of Daily Living

 

POST-SURGERY CARE AND WOUND CARE

  • Assisting Patient to their Activity of Daily Living
  • Giving and Administering Medicine as prescribes by the Doctor
  • Maintaining Proper Hygiene and Grooming of the Client
  • Wound Care.( Wet to Dry Dressing) ( Dry Dressing)
  • Identifying and Managing Post Surgery Complication with the collaboration of other healthcare provider
  • Patients Education about the disease

FIRST AID

  • Assess the situation quickly.
  • Ensure safety
  • Identify the nature of the injury or illness.
  • Manage the patient promptly and appropriately.
  • Organize bystanders.
  • Get help.
  • Gather and provide necessary information and, where possible, keep a written record.
  • Stay with the patient until help arrives.

 

TRAVEL ASSISTANCE: NURSE

  • Assist the patient with his/her needs.
  • Monitor the patient vital signs during the travel.
  • Provide First Aid and Activate medical response team if necessary.
  • Documentation of changes and improvements of the patient.
  • Coordinating with the other health care facility and professionals.
